Second Egg Hunt and Bubble Extravaganza

This Saturday morning, we took Andy to his second egg hunt. This one was outdoors and although the weather was cold, there were probably over 80 kids just in the under-3-year-old hunt. Andy was quite content with the two eggs that he "found".

After the hunt, we played at the park for quite a while, followed by a visit to the Easter Bunny! This was Andy's first time meeting the bunny.

On Sunday, we fired up the grill (even though it was still cold outside!) and Uncle Doug and Uncle Jim came over for dinner. I brought out the bubble machine Andy got for his birthday last year and he squealed with delight. I wasn't able to capture the giggles in the photos, but I have a feeling we'll be seeing this toy a lot this summer!

First Easter Egg hunt

Braving the falling snow, we went to Brookfield's Easter Egg Hunt this past Saturday. Andy participated in the Under-3 Hunt. Well, as you can see in the photos, "hunt" might be too strong a label, but he had fun taking apart the plastic eggs.

Our favorite moment (and one I wish we had on video) was in the middle of the commotion of kids running around to find and open eggs, Andy spotted a fire extinguisher on the far wall of the VFW hall. Walking around shrieking kids and kicking aside eggs and candy, he marched with determination to cross the room and point out his find.

We are attending another egg hunt this coming weekend - we can only hope that this one will have a fire extinguisher too.

Weekend at Aunt Heather's!

This past weekend was spent in western Ohio at the home of Kris's sister and brother-in-law and their three kids. Andy did well on the 4.5 hour drive both there and back. Only difficulties were first night there - kept waking up in the night. He did much better the second night.

We went to celebrate both Gavin's 4th birthday and Renae's 1st birthday. Heather did a great job planning and hosting the fun and large party. She baked two really cute cakes, one for each kid. I think Gavin liked his Thomas the Train cake and seemed like Renae loved smearing her pink teddy bear cake all over her face!

Weekend at Grandma Sue's!

We spent this past weekend in Iowa visiting Grandma Sue and Grandpa Dave. Their new home is lovely. Andy did great on both drive out and back. Plus, he slept and napped beautifully while there. I don't think he minded all the attention he got either! :) Grandpa Dave, if you could email me any photos you took that turned out well, I'll post them up here. Thanks!
