Weekend at Aunt Heather's!

This past weekend was spent in western Ohio at the home of Kris's sister and brother-in-law and their three kids. Andy did well on the 4.5 hour drive both there and back. Only difficulties were first night there - kept waking up in the night. He did much better the second night.

We went to celebrate both Gavin's 4th birthday and Renae's 1st birthday. Heather did a great job planning and hosting the fun and large party. She baked two really cute cakes, one for each kid. I think Gavin liked his Thomas the Train cake and seemed like Renae loved smearing her pink teddy bear cake all over her face!

Weekend at Grandma Sue's!

We spent this past weekend in Iowa visiting Grandma Sue and Grandpa Dave. Their new home is lovely. Andy did great on both drive out and back. Plus, he slept and napped beautifully while there. I don't think he minded all the attention he got either! :) Grandpa Dave, if you could email me any photos you took that turned out well, I'll post them up here. Thanks!

Having fun in the winter

A big thanks to Uncle Doug and Uncle Jim for being great sports Sunday as they joined us for a walk to the local park in the cold rain. Andy has discovered he loves going for walks outside - favorites are pointing out fire hydrants and garages.

Andy and Kris hosted a playdate this morning with two other moms and their children. Kris made coffee and blueberry muffins; Andy shared all his toys. A great time! And afterwards, we went outside again.

We saw RALPH again!

The new Ralph's World CD came out on Tuesday. That evening, Ralph played and sang at our local Border's. We got there early to get a front-row seat. Ralph autographed our new CD and took a photo with Andy!

The next day Andy enjoyed looking at the autograph and Ralph's photo.

We're back . . .

Welcome back to Andy's blog!

Andy turned 18 months on Jan 22nd. While we didn't do anything special to celebrate, we did take the photo on the couch to commemorate the day.

Andy has been keeping busy with playdates and outings (not to mention trips to Target!). Our Tuesday evening music class called Tot Rock just ended this week. We have a standing Friday morning playgroup at the Park District which we've done for about 6 months and Andy really loves it. He's usually quite sociable with other kids.

Andy was finishing supper a few nights ago when Chris came home from work. Seeing Daddy's scarf, he knew he found a fun toy to share with Daddy. Another fun toy of Daddy's is his glasses!
